Forty Years of Mystiek lichaam: Kellendonk's Novel on Stage
Toneelschuur Producties

Forty years after Frans Kellendonk's Mystiek lichaam shocked the literary world, Koen Verheijden adapts the novel into a grotesque, raw and comedic family drama. At the Doornenhof estate, a conservative father and his adult children drift apart over family, sexuality, religion, and belonging — a broken household that mirrors a polarised society. Humour and discomfort exist side by side, without reducing the characters to caricatures.
