Sharon Harman
Composer - Sound Designer - Producer
My name is Sharon Harman and I work as a composer, sound designer & producer based in Amsterdam. I graduated from the Conservatory of Amsterdam in 2014 with drums as my main curriculum. After graduation, I mostly worked as a session musician for live and studio settings, but also explored my composing, producing and live performing skills as a lead vocalist in my experimental electronic live project ORACLEZ.
Due to my endless curiosity and hunger for innovation, I bring a diverse range of musical influences and experiences to my creative work. My musicianship has taken me on national & international tour with bands and artists such as Indian Askin, Cartiez, Fullcrate, Kid Harlequin and Miss Catharsis – and as supporting acts for De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig, Skip & Die, Moderat & De Staat.
In an introspective four-year break from my music career, I ventured into the world of voice-over work, spoken word and performance art.
I reignited my passion for music in 2022 and started focusing on composing & producing original music for theatre, whilst also touring with a diverse range of theatre productions throughout The Netherlands. As of 2026, I have fully switched from live performing to sound design, production & composition in theatre.
I am also currently getting my "Professional Media Composition" Masters degree at Thinkspace Education & Arts University Bournemouth, so I will soon venture out into the realm of film & television as well.
Press
“The music in this performance is fantastic. Curator Wilko Sterke drives the two female musicians to great heights. With drummer Sharon Harman, every beat hits the mark and sounds amazing.”
“...Sancho plays Fréderique with restraint but passion. Supported by the atmospheric and musical accompaniment of Sharon Harman, Sancho’s voice rings out clearly over the old fort.”
“The performance is accompanied musically by Sharon Harman on percussion, vocals, and electronics. Beautiful, ominous sounds are reflected by the solid walls enclosing the fort’s courtyard. It gives you chills.”
